A Q&A conducted by Star Wars figure collecting site 'Boba's Bounty' (http://www.bobasbounty.net/) reveals that there are close to 30(!) planned figures for release in next year's Indiana Jones line, spanning all four movies.

This is pretty exciting, I think. I'll need to start budgeting today, probably.

Anyone care to speculate with me on what figures we'll see?

From Raiders, we've seen pictures of:

Indy, with jacket
Indy, without jacket
Marion, from the Cairo marketplace
Belloq, in his ceremonial robes
Sallah
the Monkey Man

I'd expect also to see:

Belloq, in his civvies
Toht
the burly German mechanic
Marion, in gown
Indy, in Arab disguise
Indy, in Nazi disguise

and maybe a generic Nazi soldier
(I'd like also to see Dietrich)

If we see all of these, and they're spanning all four movies, then obviously Raiders is over-represented.

From Temple, I'd expect:

Indy, with torn shirt and machete
Indy, in white tux
Short Round
Mola Ram
the giant Thuggee
Willie, in her sequinned gown
Willie, in her Palace duds

and maybe a generic Thuggee
(I'd like also to see Lao Che)

From Last Crusade, I'd expect:

Indy, with the goofy tie-with-leather-lacket look
Henry Jones, Sr
Elsa
Donovan
Marcus
Vogel

another generic Nazi maybe?
(I'd like also to see Kazim)

and whatever they throw at us from Kingdom...

I think we probably won't see all of these, but it's a fun sampling. There are many others that I could name, but the list rapidly gets to over 30. I like to imagine vehicle sets such as Jock's biplane, with exclusive Jock figure (and Reggie the snake).

Forgive the geek out, but if I can't do it here, then where?

D.

Re: Upcoming Hasbro toys

How about a decrepit Donovan in mid-Dust-to-Dust mode?

Can we get some sort of melting face action on Belloq, Toht, and Dietrich?

What about vehicles? Indy in motorcycle with Henry Jones, Sr. in sidecar. Complete with breakaway jousting post.

How about those government guys from Raiders? Press a button and one says "Top Men..." in that dickish way.
